Harborside Terrace Weddings

Ceremony: Imagine your ceremony on the White Elephant Harborside Lawn with the expanse of harbor as your backdrop.  Or get married downtown in one of the island’s quaint and historic churches. Then stroll along the cobblestone streets back to the White Elephant.  

Reception: Start the reception with our signature White Elephant Cranberry Cocktail, a sampling of our hors d’oeurves and local seafood raw bar shucked à la minute. Guests will then adjourn to dine al fresco under the awning-covered heated Terrace which overlooks the magnificent harbor.

Menus: Our wedding menus reflect the style and quality of Brant Point Gril cuisine using the freshest of local ingredients, seafood and quality steaks – all served with an exceptionally high level of service.  

Evening Continues: The wedding party can then dance into the night with the lights of the harbor as your ambient lighting.

Exclusive Wedding Weekends

In spring and fall, the White Elephant can be exclusively yours-all 65 rooms, suites and cottages can accommodate your guests.  Your family and friends can enjoy privacy and the dedicated attention of our entire staff.  The hotel offers flexible event space that can accommodate a variety of events from the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception to the bridal lunch and farewell Sunday brunch.  In addition, our sister hotel, The Wauwinet, offers additional venues for your wedding weekend. 

Ceremony: The ceremony and cocktails on the Courtyard Lawn overlooking the harbor.

Reception:  Dinner and dancing to follow.  Depending upon the size of your event, a tent can be erected on the Harborside Lawn so that your guests can continue to dance the night away without ever leaving the hotel. 

Menus: Our wedding menus reflect the style and quality Brant Point Grill cuisine using the freshest of local ingredients, seafood and quality steaks – all served with an exceptionally high level of service.  

The Details

Parties: Recommended for parties of 150 -350 guests. Couples have the flexibility of flooring and tenting the Harborside Lawn. Larger tented events can accommodate a dining area for the entire wedding party and dance floor. “After hours” dancing and late night bites can continue in Brant Point Grill & Bar.  Next day, host a farewell brunch in the tent or on the Harborside Terrace.

Ceremony: 150+ guests on the Courtyard Lawn

Exclusivity: To ensure the exclusivity of the weekend, the wedding party is required to book all of the accommodations at the hotel and incur the cost of any tenting, flooring and rental equipment.

Intimate Weddings

Our smaller wedding option caters to wedding parties who are bringing close friends and family together in an intimate location while still enjoying all the services the White Elephant has to offer.

Ceremony:  Ceremonies take place on the lawn, at a local church or at Brant Point Lighthouse - just a short walk from the White Elephant.

Reception, Dinner and Dancing: The guests will enjoy cocktails on the lawn followed by dinner on the Sundeck or in our private dining room, the Ivory Room. For those guests who would like to stay for dancing, this option is available in the Sunroom.

Accommodates up to 60 guests on the Sundeck. Ceremonies on the Harborside Lawn for their entire wedding party.
